RIVIAN
Full-time (November 2017 - Present)
As Rivian’s first brand hire, I helped bring one of the largest disruptors in the EV landscape to life. When I first joined the company it was in “stealth mode” and was in the early stages of being molded. It was a clean slate with no dedicated brand identity. I was brought on to support Rivian’s Creative Director’s vision for the brand and immediately got to work helping them to define it both strategically, as well as visually.
From creative direction, brand identity work, to user research, brand strategy, building social media, content production, production design, photography, apparel design, event design, shoulder to lean on when times get tough, you name it – As Rivian’s Principle Hat Wearer, I’ve tried my best to grow, support, and champion it on Rivian’s Brand + Communications teams. Nowadays, I have found more focus as a senior member of the Creative Studio Team with a strong focus on product content.

Art directed, designed, created, and managed all visual aspects of Shinola and Shinola Audio’s social media channels and blog, including photography. In June 2017, I also took over all management and strategic planning of Shinola’s social channels. In addition to Shinola’s social media channels, I designed, art directed, photographed and managed all visual aspects of Shinola’s sister company, Willys Detroit’s social media channels.

GENERAL MOTORS TECHNICAL ACADEMY
Two-year automotive design program through General Motors University.
I was part of a small select group of 24 students who specialized in automotive design and engineering during our junior and senior year of high school. Half of my school days during this time were spent at General Motors working with professionals and mentors who taught us the ins and outs of the automotive industry. We learned traditional drafting, CAD (3D Computer-Aided Design), sculpting, presentation skills, budgeting, vehicle design basics, engineering basics, among many other things. We had to create our own car brands and pitch them, as well as vehicles we concepted for those brands. During our last semester, I was part of a group of 5 students who designed, built, and raced the first ever remote controlled hydrogen full cell vehicle.
